Research Assistant

Location: Turku, Finland
Type: Full-time/Part-time

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing and future research projects focused mainly on oncology and skeletal diseases. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with in vivo work and/or histological techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in in vivo experiments, including animal handling, dosing, and monitoring.
  • Assist in the preparation and evaluation of histological samples, including sectioning, staining, and imaging.
  • Perform data collection and analysis using established protocols and techniques.
  • Assist with the preparation of research reports.
  • Collaborate with team members and contribute to a collegial laboratory environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biomedical Science, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus) or long work experience in related fields.
  • Prior experience in in vivo research and/or histological techniques is required.
  • Familiarity with common laboratory equipment and procedures related to animal research and/or histology.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
