Collaboration of the Nordic EUROSTARS Consortium Continues

The Fruitful Collaboration of the Nordic EUROSTARS Consortium Continues

Pharmatest Services is proud to be a partner in the NK-ENGAGE project (Novel Synthetic Polypeptides for Natural Killer Cell-Mediated Immunotherapy for the Treatment of Multiple Myeloma), an initiative under the Eurostars program. This collaborative effort brings together a distinguished Nordic research consortium from Sweden, Norway, and Finland, focusing on groundbreaking advancements in multiple myeloma (MM) treatment.

The primary aim of this Eurostars and Business Finland -funded R&D project is to develop and establish preclinical proof of concept for a novel synthetic small polypeptide designed to harness the power of natural killer (NK) cells in immunotherapy for MM. This innovative approach will be validated through advanced preclinical models developed by Pharmatest and our partners at Oslo University Hospital.

The Consortium Meeting in Oslo

We had the pleasure of participating a face-to-face consortium meeting in Oslo, Norway, where the consortium members engaged in rich discussions and strategic planning for the next crucial phases of our project. The collaboration and exchange of insights marked a significant milestone in our shared goals.

The NK-ENGAGE Research Consortium

The NK-ENGAGE consortium unites esteemed institutions and biotech companies including Oncopeptides from Sweden, the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Oslo University Hospital, and Pharmatest Services from Finland. Our collective objectives include the development of cutting-edge synthetic polypeptides for NK cell immunotherapy and the establishment of innovative preclinical models tailored to facilitate efficacy studies and foster a deeper understanding of the therapeutic mechanisms behind the MM treatments.

Together, we are committed to making significant strides toward improving treatment options for those affected by multiple myeloma. Stay tuned for more exciting updates as we progress on this impactful journey!
